It's officially summer! Hooray! Pool parties and beach bashes and other fun, alliterative activities!

But here at Virtuous HQ we've been hunkered down in the air-conditioned splendor of our office working hard on some new features just for you. Hey, it's what we do.

Here's some of what you'll see:

New Gift Ask Features

Do you use Gift Asks in Virtuous? I mean, sure, we all love them, but have you ever wanted more? Well, you're in luck! We've added some new functionality to Gift Asks to make them even better than before.

First, we've added a new Gift Ask Status, which can be used to track the progress of any ask. Since every organization may have slightly different ways of tracking solicitations, Admin users will now be able to set a list of available values for Gift Ask Statuses (Stati?) from the Data Customization tab of the Settings menu.

We've also added a tab for Gift Asks on the Gifts screen. Which means you can filter for Gifts Asks, just as you would for Gifts, Gifts Split by Project, or Pledges.

On the Giving tab of a Contact record, users will now have the option to click to preview a Gift Ask (without having to edit it) and (DRUMROLL PLEASE) delete a Gift Ask, if needed (provided they have permission to delete -- ask your Admin if you're not sure).

And finally, Gift Asks have joined the ranks of features that support the addition of custom fields. Admins can now add fields to Gift Asks from the Settings menu.

Private Gift Icon

To make it clearer when certain Gifts have been flagged a Private, we've added a new lock icon that will be displayed next to the Gift Amount.

New API Features

For some users, it may not sound SUPER exciting to hear that we've updated some of our API endpoints. But what if I told you that these updates can allow for more custom integration options when working with Events, Volunteer Opportunities, and Projects?

Yeah, we thought so.
