One Marketplace to Rule Them All
Finding partners and application that work with Virtuous can sometimes take a little detective work. You might check out our website, ask for recommendations, consult your trusty magic 8-ball.
Well…you did have to do all that. Not anymore.
That’s because we are thrilled to be launching our new Partner Marketplace!
Now, you can log in to Virtuous and navigate to the Marketplace from the left navigation menu—just look for the new “Integrations” menu item:
You’ll also se a handy new Marketplace icon in the header, making it easy to access from anywhere in Virtuous:
Once you are in the Marketplace, you can search and filter to your heart’s content, looking for just the right integration or service partner to meet your needs. Click on any listing to see a detailed view with additional resources.
Now, we know what you’re pondering: “But can I manage my current integrations here?”
(Well, if you weren’t pondering that, NOW you are. The power of suggestion!)
The answer is: yes, you can!
From the detail listing for any integration, you’ll see a button to configure the integration.
This will take you to the Virtuous Connect app or the Integrations screen to manage the integration settings.
We’ve also aded direct links in the navigation menu to jump right to Virtuous Connect and the Integrations page in settings, just to make things easier.
Go ahead and check out the new Marketplace today!
Icons and Images and Emails, Oh My
With apologies to Matthew Broderick, technology moves pretty fast; if you don’t stop and look around once in a while, you could miss the next big thing. But if you do hop on board the hot new app, how can you include it in your email templates?
By creating a custom icon!
Yes, we’ve freed you from the shackles of pre-defined social media icons! Now, you can create your own custom social icons within the email editor.
Now, you can easily let people follow you on the new MyBook or YouSpace or whatever else comes along.
But we wouldn’t be content to just allow new icon options. What about showing some love for images, too?
OK, you got it!
Now, you’ll see a new option when clicking on Image Settings in the email editor. Specifically, you’ll now have the option to hide specific images from the mobile or desktop versions of any email!
That’s right, no more editing and perfecting every image to make it look good no matter what the format! Now, you can have even better control over the look and feel of your email content, wherever your supporters are reading.
New to working with email? We’ve got you covered there too! Just check out these articles to get started.
And the Rest…
As with every release, this latest update also includes a number of other fixes, tweaks, minor modifications, and assorted nudges. Among the various fixes released over the last month or so:
- Updating a phone number in the Import Tool by formatting it with a country code will now...format the phone number and add the country code. It just seemed like the right thing to do.
- We've done a little tidying up to make it easier than ever to take advantage of the custom tabs feature on Contact records. So customize away!
- We heard from some users that they were not able to view support tickets when logged in to Virtuous. While managing support tickets is not the main reason why you might be in Virtuous, we want to make EVERYTHING easier, so we've made sure the support experience is accessible now.
- Our team was able to squash a bug that impacted delivery of some Virtuous Marketing emails. Neither snow, nor sleet, nor freezing rain, etc, etc...
- We corrected an issue where multiple payments applied to a membership did not correctly display the total payments applied. We even double check our work, just to be sure.
- In some cases, when entering a date value, Friday and Saturday were not visible on the calendar to select those dates. However, we have been reliable informed that fundraising happens seven days a week, so the calendar will now reflect all of your hard work. 💪
- We've addressed some sync errors between Virtuous and RaiseDonors. Sometimes siblings don't get along, but they should be able to work well together from now on.
- Our crack team of bugfixers rooted out a bug that was preventing some supporters from being identified using the Responsive Listener. Responsiveness is...kinda our thing, after all.
- Some users encountered an issue with add header images to Ticketed Event pages. We've made sure that images will play nicely with event pages now.
- Receipts were displaying the Price for Premiums, as opposed to the Fair Market Value. Since the FMV is what really matters for tax purposes, we've made sure to display that on receipts.
- Some users noted issues with sent email statistics and statuses not displaying correctly. While humlity is a virtue, we've made sure that sent emails will stop being modest and will actually display the work they have done from now on.
And that's the list! Phew! As always, if you have any questions about these or other features, feel free to contact our support team.
