To configure the OneCause sync with Virtuous CRM+, you need two pieces of information from OneCause: your API Key and Organization ID. This article shows you where to find that information.
Note: Only a user with Admin access can generate an API Key in OneCause.
Create an Integration User
We recommend creating a new user with admin permissions that is specifically used for the the integration. This ensures that the integration continues running smoothly even if a user needs to change their login, or if there are staffing changes or your organization. You can learn more about creating new users account in OneCause here.
Be sure to save the password for the integration user!
Generate the API Key
Once you have created the new user account, log in to the OneCause platform as the integration user.
Navigate to the Integrations page in the main menu. Click on the New API Project button, and agree to the API terms & Conditions. Then, you can customize the integration with a new name and even add a logo if you are feeling fancy.
Save the new integration, and then it will display on the main Integrations page.
Copy the Key
To find the Organization ID and API Key, click on Manage and then select Copy Key.
This will display the Organization ID and API Key.
Click to copy and paste each into the integrations settings in CRM+ to configure the OneCause integration.
Now, you are ready to continue setup! Click here to walk through the configuration process.
