Why Do l Need to Create the Custom Collection in the Setup Instructions?
As part of the integrations configuration, we recommend creating a Contact Custom Collection to capture data. If there is no Event External ID set in OneCause and there is no Custom Collection to map to, attendee data will not be synced to CRM+ at all. For this reason, we strongly recommend that all integration users configure the Custom Collection, even if you link all Events and sync all Fixed-Price Items as Gifts. That way, if you accidentally forget to set the External Event ID for a new Event, you won’t miss out on capturing ticket activity in Virtuous CRM+. Can I Map a Segment Code for Recurring Gifts in Event Settings?
No. While we understand that each organization may have different reporting needs, at this time it is not possible to attribute Recurring Gift revenue to an event. We can only reflect the way in which revenue is tracked in OneCause, and the platform does not attribute Recurring Gift revenue to a specific Event or fundraising page at this time.
Is the Sync Real-Time?
No. The integrations will check for new data from OneCause every three hours. Records are then held in a pending state until they can be bundled overnight and processed for import.
How Can I See Ticket Purchases, Registrations, or Sponsorships as They Sync to CRM+?
While sync data will not be bundled and pushed to the Import Tool until midnight each night (specifically, midnight in your organization’s time zone), all pending Gift Transactions can be found under Settings > Data Management > Gift Transactions in CRM+ until they are bundled in the Import Tool the next day. All pending Contact import data can be found under Settings > Data Management > Pending Contact Updates in CRM+ until they are bundled in the Import Tool the next day.
The Real-time Giving Report, one of the Standard Reports available in Virtuous, also allows you to see real-time data, even pending giving activity.
