In Virtuous CRM+, Recurring Gifts have two main parts: a Recurring Gift Object (the Donor's commitment) and Gifts (individual payments fulfilling this commitment). Sometimes during migration, Recurring Gift objects aren’t created, resulting in payments entered as standalone Gifts.
To ensure these Gifts are properly linked, especially before a token migration, you can follow these steps:
Bulk Import for Recurring Gift Objects: Use the Gift and Contact Import Tool and columns BI-BN of the Gift CSV Template to create Recurring Gift objects. To learn more about the Import Tool, click here.
Note: This process does not link past Gifts but prepares for future matches.
Linking Future Gifts: New incoming Gifts will auto-match if the Contact, amount, date, and Project align with the Recurring Gift object. If mismatched, use the Import Tool under "Update Needed" to establish a link.
