Imagine a tiny, rectangular genie that doesn’t grant three wishes but will find you donor records, Campaigns, Projects, and more! You may have guessed it, but that’s the Quick Search bar.
Secured at the top of Virtuous CRM+, regardless of what Page you’re on, is the Quick Search bar. Select inside the bar to type or find Recent Searches or Recently Viewed records.
What Can I Search?
While you may not be able to search for cat videos or 90s song lyrics, you can use the Quick Search to find:
- Contact Records: Find a Contact Record using Contact or Individual Name, Contact or Individual ID, Informal Name, Formal Name, Alternate Name, Nickname, Pre-Marriage Name, Middle Name, mailing address components, email address components, and phone number
- Campaigns: Find a Campaign using Campaign Name components
- Segments: Find a Segment using Segment Name or Segment Code components
- Projects: Find a Project using Project Name or Project Code components
- Tags: Find Tags and a list of the Contacts with those Tags using the Tag name
How Does It Work?
Whether you know exactly what or who you’re looking for or have a general idea (maybe the donor is Kaitlin or Katelyn, but you’re not sure) the Quick Search bar should be able to guide you to the correct record without needing exact, perfect search terms. Once you’ve begun typing, the fields in bold from the dropdown will show exactly what matched your search. Hover over the record from the list below to view a quick preview on the right to see where the search parameters are matching to the record. Or select the Search by Type to refine your search results.
Or, if there are many results populated, select ENTER to view all relevant results.
Here, you’ll be able to see even greater detail about relevant search results including details from those Contacts, Projects, Campaigns, Segments, and Tags. These results are ranked by the quality of match to your search parameters showing you the most relevant results first.
