When working in Virtuous Marketing, there is a high likelihood you may need to make a copy of an existing Email to make a few changes for a different audience. It's simply to do this and will save your team tons of time when creating Segmented Communications! This article will walk you through creating a new Marketing Email from an existing Marketing Email.

Navigate to the Email page using the side bar. Select "Marketing" and then "Email" from the available options. From the main Email screen, find the specific Marketing Email you'd like to copy. Select the "Actions" button on the far right.
From the available options, select "Copy" from the drop-down list.
Then, you'll be given the option to use your copy as either a New Email or a New Template. Give your copy a new name, and then select "Copy Email" to confirm.
Changing Email Types
Some Email Types can be used interchangeably. For example, if you create a Workflow Email and then decide to make a copy of it to use as a regular Marketing Email? Totally fine.
But Form Confirmation Emails function a little different. These email types do not use the same settings and formatting that Workflow Emails and standard Marketing Emails. With this in mind, they cannot be copied and used for a different purpose. Likewise, it is not possible to copy a standard Marketing Email to use as a Form Confirmation Email.
If you choose to copy a Form Confirmation Email, your copy will also be a Form Confirmation Email.
