Available in both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store, the Virtuous CRM App can give you access to your donor data while on the go. You can also add new Contacts, Individuals, Notes, and Tasks right from your mobile phone. This article will outline how to use the various mobile app functions.
The Virtuous Mobile App supports all login options including an email password combo or SSO with Google or Microsoft.

Review All Tasks
From anywhere in the Virtuous Mobile App, you can select the Menu icon, located in the top left corner of the screen. This will open the side menu of navigation options.
If you select the option "Tasks", this will take you to a digest of all of your incomplete Tasks.
Please note that this will only display YOUR (the logged in User's) Tasks. This "on-the-go" version of Task management is intended to be focused and concise.

Using the "Nearby" Feature
The "Nearby" feature available in the Virtuous Mobile App is an incredible tool to use while on the go.
As an example, you may want to review which zones of the Greater Phoenix Metropolitan area have the highest concentration of donors and is closest to where you currently are.. Using the "Nearby" function can make easy work of that need!
From anywhere in the Virtuous Mobile App, you can select the Menu icon, located in the top left corner of the screen. This will open the side menu of navigation options.
Select "Nearby" from the menu options to be taken to the Map feature.
The Location button available in the top right corner of the Map view will automatically pull the visual scope to reflect your physical location at that exact moment.
Using your fingers to slide the visual Map area around, you'll notice red pins appear to represent Contact records within the selected range. If you select a specific red pin, information about the Contact represented will appear. If you select the Contact banner that pops up, this will take you directly to the Contact record.
Home Screen
When you first open the Virtuous Mobile App, you will be brought to the home screen where you have two main tabs of information readily available.
Activity Tab
On the Activity Tab, a timeline of all the various actions executed by the Contacts you are Following are presented in chronological order. This is a great way to quickly review the most recent activity.
As an example, say you're about to meet up with a donor for lunch. Via the Virtuous Mobile App, you could see if they opened the marketing email sent just this morning and reference it during your conversation.
Following Tab
The Following Tab will display the list of Contact records you are actively following. This list is unique per user.
Adding a Contact to your Following list will allow you to keep a very close eye on all their activity, as mentioned in the previous section.
Add a Task
A great benefit of this on the go function is being able to drop a new Task into Virtuous right at the moment the need arises.
As an example, say you're at dinner with a donor and there are a few action items you need to follow up on in the next few weeks. You can use the Virtuous Mobile App to create a handful of Tasks before even making it back to your desk!
From the home page of the Virtuous Mobile App, you can select plus sign in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Task" to open a new Task.
Note: any Tasks created via the Virtuous Mobile App will be assigned to the User logged in. It is not possible to assign Tasks to other Users via the Mobile App.
On the next screen, enter all the appropriate details for your new Task. Once all your information has been entered, select "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
Add a Contact
Being able to add a new Contact record to your Virtuous CRM while on the go means you won't miss any important connections outside of the office.
As an example, say you're at community meeting and strike up a conversation with a potential donor. You can use the Virtuous Mobile App to create a new Contact right there right there and then.

From the home page of the Virtuous Mobile App, you can select plus sign in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Contact" to open a new Contact.
On the next screen, enter all the appropriate details for your new Task. Once all your information has been entered, select "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
Add Contact From Device
Similarly, you can add a Contact record from your devices Address Book. From the home page of the Virtuous Mobile App, you can select plus sign in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Contact From Device" to import an entry from your Address Book.
After selecting "Add Contact From Device" you will be taken to your devices Address Book to select which specific entry to import as a Contact record.
Review and Manage Contact Records
If you are a Virtuous User that spends a lot of time in the field away from your computer, then having access to important donor information is imperative to connecting with donors in a Responsive manner. Having access to your Contacts while on the go means you can quickly review the below data without needing to log in to the desktop version of Virtuous CRM.

- Tasks
- Relationships
- Tags
Once on a specific Contact record, you can use the top banner headings to toggle between the different types of data.
Giving History Example
Using the Contact Options button in the bottom right corner the different actions available will be appear. Depending on which option you select, the next page will walk you through the execution process.
Add a Task
To create a new Task, enter the appropriate details, just as you would from the Home Screen. The main difference in this approach is the Contact field will be automatically populated with the respective Contact you are on.
Note: any Tasks created via the Virtuous Mobile App will be assigned to the User logged in. It is not possible to assign Tasks to other Users via the Mobile App.
On the next screen, enter all the appropriate details for your new Task. Once all your information has been entered, select "Save" at the bottom of the screen.
Add a Note
Another great benefit of this on the go function is being able to drop a new Note into Virtuous right at the moment the need arises.
As an example, say you're at a meeting with a potential corporate sponsor and they let you know their organization is currently on a freeze for charitable giving until the end of the calendar year. This is incredibly important information that you'd want to document as soon as possible. You can use the Virtuous Mobile App to create a detailed Note right then. That means other Users in Virtuous CRM will be able to see this Note sooner rather than later.
Select Contact Options button in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Note" to open a new Note.
Enter all the appropriate details. Once complete, select "Save" to finalize your Note.
Add a Recurring Gift
With the value of sustaining donors being central to many organization's goals, being able to create a new Recurring Gift means you can add a high value piece of data to a Contact directly from your device.
As an example, say you're at a site visit to one of your corporate donors and while you're there, they commit to a Recurring Gift of $5,000 per quarter. They intend to fulfill this commitment via check. You can use the Virtuous Mobile App to create a new Recurring Gift on the Organization's Contact record while still onsite to confirm all the correct details before committing it as official data to your CRM.
Note: This feature will create the Recurring Gift commitment and does not create an automatic recurring payment to charge alongside.
Select Contact Options button in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Recurring Gift" to open a new Recurring Gift.
Enter all the appropriate details for the Recurring Gift commitment. Once complete, select "Save" button to finalize your Recurring Gift.
Add an Individual
If, for any reason, you need to add an Individual to an existing Contact record, you can accomplish that via the Virtuous Mobile App.
As an example, say you're chatting with the same Organization that just committed to a $5,000 quarterly Recurring Gift. They've brought on a new member to their team and want to make sure they are on file with your organization. Same as before, you can use the Virtuous Mobile App to create an new Individual on the existing Organization Contact record.

Select Contact Options button in the bottom corner of the screen. Then, select "Add Individual" to open a new Individual.
Enter all the appropriate details for the new Individual to be added. Once complete, select "Save" button to finalize the new Individual and add it to the existing Contact record.
