Single sign-on (SSO) keeps things simple and secure when logging in to your Virtuous account. Connecting with accounts you have already set up (like Google or Microsoft) can streamline your access across multiple platforms without having to remember so many passwords. (However, if your brain has no issue holding all that information, feel free to skip this and tell us your secrets.)
There are a few ways to set up SSO with Virtuous.
From the Beginning
When onboarding with Virtuous, you will receive an email invitation to set up your account. Click ACCEPT MY INVITATION to begin setup.
This will take you to a page where you will have the option to:
- Use email and password
- Login using your Microsoft account
- Login using your Google account
Select your SSO provider. A button will then appear and prompt you to sign in using that provider.
If You’re Already a User and Want to Change Your Login Settings to SSO
Click on your profile photo in the upper right hand corner of the screen and then click Edit Profile.
From the pop up modal, click SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE or SIGN IN WITH MICROSOFT to sign in using one of those SSO options.
Once you have entered your login information, you're good to go!
This is how you switch from logging in with an email and password to logging in with SSO. Please note that if your original login was through SSO, you will NOT be able to switch to using an email and password.
'Wait, That’s Not What I See. Where Is It?'
Your Virtuous administrator may have restricted use of SSO. To change this setting, your Virtuous administrator may refer to How Do I Manage User Permissions?
Once Your Settings Have Changed
Go to the Virtuous login screen.
If you have a Google account, click SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE to be directed to the Google login screen. Once you have entered your Google login information, you will be directed to your Virtuous dashboard.
If you have a Microsoft account, click SIGN IN WITH MICROSOFT to be directed to the Microsoft login screen. Once you have entered your Microsoft login information, you will be directed to your Virtuous dashboard.
Note: logging out of your Google or Microsoft account in another tab in your browser will log you out of your Virtuous user account.
Another note: The “Forgot Password?” link only applies to an email and password specific to Virtuous. This feature will not apply to your Google or Microsoft account logins, so if you need to recover or change your login information with any of those providers, you will have to do so through that provider.
