Have you ever clicked submit on a page and nothing happened? Then you were just left sitting there wondering if your submission was sitting out in the ether somewhere or it actually made it to its destination? We'd hate for your donors to have the same feeling when purchasing a ticket through your organization so, we've given you the ability to create a confirmation page when setting up your ticketed event.
Creating the Confirmation Page
When you are setting up your event (or editing it), there is a page in the builder for Confirmation details.
Once you're on this page you have quite a few options to sort through.
Under Payment settings, you'll be able to choose the options available to attendees
Allow attendees to make additional donations- allows attendees to add an additional donation to the cost of their ticket.
Allow attendees to cover costs- this allows the attendee to choose to cover the cost of the transaction
Default cover costs to true- will automatically add the cost of the transaction to the cost of the ticket. Attendees can turn this off.
Limit how many promo codes can be used per registration- This allows you to limit how many discounts can be used on registration.
Additionally, you can also choose to accept card or bank account payments.
Finally, you can also customize exactly what happens when a donor hits the submit button.
Display confirmation page- this will create a confirmation page on brand with the colors of your form, that will include a message from you. There are some event-specific merge tags that can be used in the wording of this page.
Redirect to URL- if you would prefer that your attendees are redirected to a page about your organization or you've built a website telling them about all the wonderful things that are going to happen now that they've purchased a ticket to your event, you can link that here. By selecting the Redirect to URL option, a box will populate to enter the URL.
What now?
Now that you've built out your confirmation page, you're ready to save and publish! Or, maybe you need a little more guidance... in that case, check out this article on creating a registration page.
