Now that your tickets have started rolling in, and you're able to see the gifts made from your Event Registration, you'll probably want to make sure this data is being recorded on your Contact Records. While you'll be able to see the Attendee information on your Event page, the actual Registration and Associated Gift (with the ticket) will come through the Gift and Contact Import Tool. That's to say, when someone registers on the event page, that information will all need to be imported via the Gift and Contact Import Tool.
Virtuous will do the heavy lifting for you, though! All Attendee information will be bundled, and these imports will be bundled together at midnight local time and pushed through to the Gift and Contact Import Tool as a New Import.
For your Contact Import, you'll need to either select the correct Contact in your database to match the registration, or you'll need to create a new Contact if they are not already in there. Then, you'll select Import in the top right corner.
For your Gift Import, you'll want to ensure the gift information is correct and matched to the correct Contact record. Note that on the gift data, there will be new fields related to the Event including Event Name, Registration ID, and the Project associated with the Event.
Once you've reviewed all of this information, you'll be able to select Import in the top right corner.
Once imported, the Contact and Giving data associated with the Event will now appear in the Contact Record.
